Classic Wings Down Under Vol.3 #3 (1996)

Much has been written about the ill fated flight of six P-39F Aircobras which were forced down on Cape York Peninsula in 1942. The efforts of Syd Beck of Mareeba to restore one of the P-39s recovered has been well recorded, but the second machine seems to have been all but forgotten. Richard Rudd travelled to Mosman in Northern Queensland recently to track down the other Cobra

Classic Wings was created in 1994 as the culmination of many years of wanting to see a vintage/warbird magazine that was created for owners, restorers, pilots as well as enthusiasts of these machines, by people who are themselves participants at all levels of these activities.
