Classic Wings Down Under Vol.1 #1 (1994)

An aircraft type not seen before in Antipodean skies recently arrived in Sydney, opening a new chapter in a 33 year old romance between Captain Keith Clarke and the Percival Piston Provost. Looking somewhat like a winjeel on steroids, the Provost saw service with a number of Air Forces before becoming a practical warbird, sought after for its fine flying characteristics. In this article we background this interesting aircraft whilst Keith Clarke presents us with an insight into his own relationship with the Piston Provost.

Classic Wings was created in 1994 as the culmination of many years of wanting to see a vintage/warbird magazine that was created for owners, restorers, pilots as well as enthusiasts of these machines, by people who are themselves participants at all levels of these activities.
