Founded and edited by Duncan Macfarlane, a former Games Workshop manager, Wargames Illustrated was sold to Battlefront Miniatures of New Zealand in January 2009.
Danulconbridge was appointed as the UK Editor, with Dave Taylor serving as the US Editor. In May 2015, Battlefront Miniatures transferred ownership to Dan Faulconbridge, who has since continued as the sole owner and editor.
