Underwater Saboteur (1956) By Max Manus

The author was famous for sinking the German troopship Donau. One of the first leaders of the Norwegian resistance, he was arrested by the Germans in 1941 but escaped by jumping out of the window of a hospital. He then underwent training in England by the Special Operations Executive, after which he was parachuted into Norway to operate against the Germans. He specialised in attacks against German ships, swimming out and attacking them with homemade torpedoes.
