Previously owned by Warbirds  Film Company, Aces High 

 

The machine flew with the US Army Air Forces’ 79th Troop Carrier Squadron from Membury, Berkshire, during D-Day, and was soon transferred to the RAF and delivered to the Heavy Glider Unit at Netheravon as TS423, a Dakota III. It then became one of the few Dakota glider snatch recovery aircraft to serve with the RAF. Shortly before the end of the war TS423 went to No 436 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force at Down Ampney.

 

The Dakota was used in several Film productions after the War.

 

90cm x 63cm

 

Print is attached to a wooden board and has a few scuff marks on it.

 

Due to the size and weight of the item, the buyer will need to arrange their own courier transport.
