There were two ways of getting supplies to hard-pressed infantry units in Burma.
One called for the toughness of a hero like Bill Bailey, for Bill loved a fight. That's why he chose the river, with its fury of roaring rapids and menacing, Jap-infested banks.
Then there was the other way - the way for brave men like Mike Connelly, who could stand in the doorway of a tree-hopping Dakota, ignoring the shells screaming towards him as he nervelessly dropped precious supplies into eager, waiting hands.
