The Italian skies in 1943 were no place for a Junkers 87. It was slow and cumbersome, no match for the sleek Allied fighters which dominated the air.

 

But Major Ernst Weiss of the Luftwaffe had the uncanny knack of getting his tank-busting squadron into action under their very noses and getting away again.

 

Nobody knew how he did it - and he certainly wasn't telling!
