A typical wargame is a strategic game where two or more players control rival armed forces in a simulated armed conflict. Wargaming can be enjoyed for leisure, used to train military officers in strategic thinking, or to analyze potential conflicts. Many wargames on recreating historical battles can encompass entire wars or specific campaigns, battles, or smaller engagements within those wars. While many wargames simulate land combat, there are also games dedicated to naval, air, and cyber, along with those that integrate multiple domains.
