The bond between mounted riflemen and horses serving in World War I won’t be easily forgotten for viewers of Devils on Horses.
That is the hope and expectation of co-producer Terry Kingi, whose passion project was largely filmed in Manawatū and Rangitīkei.
The feature-length documentary-drama film will receive its official New Zealand premiere in Palmerston North on August 2, following Doc Edge festival screenings in the three main centres.
“There wasn’t a dry eye in the house,” Kingi said after a special screening in Christchurch on Monday night.
